The Journey Begins
We are finally on the road to Zambia. Our group from district 7780 consists of 7 people lead by Richard Donhauser. The other members are Kathy Flygare, Claudia Frost,Helen Goranson, Carolyn Johnson, Marilyn Kellogg and David Spahn. Our team was put together by Emma Bodwell. We have met a number of times over the last several months via Zoom. We all converged on Logan Airport in Boston Friday February 24 for the start of our long journey. Our flight brought us to Doha Qatar and the on to Lusaka the capital of Zambia. It was a long exhausting trip but we are here now. Tomorrow morning we have a day planned visiting several local schools involved with the Healthy Learners Program. This afternoon we met with a number of Rotary Club Presidents from the Lusaka area and the have lined up visits to their club where we can see the projects that they are involved in.
